Norah McKenzie quietly peered into Blair Sandburg’s office. Slowly pushing open the door a little wider, she found him with his head down on the desk.
Taking a deep breath, she crept all the way into the office. She could just make out a light snore coming from Blair as she moved closer to the desk. Biting her bottom lip, she awkwardly stood there, not quite knowing what to do. Time sheets were due the next day, and she had forgotten to get Blair to sign hers. Yet, here he was, fast asleep.
Making a choice, she set her time sheet down beside him. She then grabbed a sheet of paper and a pen and jotted down a note to put with it. Finally, she took a small pillow from the couch in the corner. While gently lifting his head, she placed the pillow under it. Blair never once stirred.
As she walked to the door, she glanced back and smiled. He was so cute when he was asleep. Then she left as quietly as she came in.

It still amazed him, being able to see so many things normal people couldn't. Colors were sharper, clearer, and more vibrant. Shapes were well defined. It didn't even matter where he stood. He could be the full length of a football field away from an object and still see every detail on it.
Jim Ellison was supposed to be a jaded cop. Seen everything, done everything. And that was how he liked to appear to the world. But on the days he spent alone, he liked to look out his windows and see everything he could see. He enjoyed getting lost in the vibrant sights of the world.
