Chloe Sullivan tilted her head up, her eyes meeting Clark’s. “I dare you,” she said with a grin on her face.

“You dare me? Come on, Chloe, you know me better than that,” Clark Kent answered sheepishly.

“Yes, I do. That’s why I dare you. You’d never show your feelings for the girl of your dreams if I didn’t.”

Clark sighed warily. He had just finished explaining how he liked a girl that wasn’t Lana and how he’d never be able to tell her. Now he had to.

Chloe looked around the Talon, her green eyes scanning over every girl in the place. “So, which one is she?” She pointed to a redhead. “That one?”

“No,” Clark answered, a smile crossing his own face.

Chloe continued to peruse. “That one?” she asked, indicating a leggy brunette.

“Nope.” Finally choosing to seize the moment, Clark touched Chloe’s cheek. She let him turn her face towards his. With a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, he stated, “This one.” With that, he kissed her.
