Lumberjack

Chloe Sullivan wrinkled her nose in disgust as she rummaged through the closet. Blue flannel, red flannel, nothing but flannel. As far back as she could remember, her best friend always wore flannel. She whirled around to face him.

“I seriously need to take you clothes shopping,” she declared.

Clark Kent turned his blue eyes towards her. “Why?” he asked.

“Because you have a very limited wardrobe. You need some variety, some color, and a lot less flannel.”

“What’s wrong with flannel? It’s comfortable.”

Chloe fixed him with a glare. “Flannel is boring, Clark. It makes you look like a lumberjack.”

Clark laughed as he puffed out his chest. “I’m a lumberjack, and I’m okay!” he bellowed.

“Oh, God,” Chloe moaned as she stuck her head back into his closet. “No more Monty Python for you!”
