"Tru, this is the last time, I swear," Harrison promised as he ran to catch up with his sister.

Tru knew it was coming, and not because the day had started over, either. Harrison was always pulling some stupid stunt and then begging for help to get out of it. This time, he had bet on a high school football game. Sadly, his team had lost, and he owed a hundred dollars.

Tru stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. Turning around, she glared at him. "Yesterday, I gave you the money, and you spent it on another bet instead of paying the guy back. This time you're going to earn it."

Harrison winced when the words came out of her mouth. "It's a repeat day, isn't it?"

"You got it."

"What do I have to do?" he sighed.

"Help me keep an eye on somene today," Tru answered, her tone softening. "Keep her away from Jack, and I'll give you the money tonight." She stepped closer and grabbed his collar. "But you have to promise me you won't make stupid bets anymore."

"I promise."

Tru smiled as she let her brother go. "You're an idiot, but I still love you."

"I try," Harrison said, returning the smile.

Tru started down the street again with Harrison trailing behind.
