A Glance

He didnít mean to stare. In fact, he never meant to notice her at all. But when Michaelís eyes met those of the mysterious dark-haired woman, he couldnít look away.

She was unlike anything he had ever seen before. She had an ethereal beauty about her, the kind you read about, but never see. Her eyes were a haunting hazel and seemed older and wiser than the rest of her young features. She wore leather, which was weird in and of itself, and appeared ready and determined about something.

In one split second, as they looked into each otherís eyes, the mysterious woman seemed to drop her defensives. For a moment, she was just a woman, and he was just a man.
