Breaking off two small pieces of cookie dough, Piper handed them to her small sons. Wyatt eagerly chose a spot and placed his on the sheet. Chris, however, was another matter. He had the piece halfway to his mouth when Piper caught him.
“No, no. The dough has to be baked before you can eat it.” She tossed Chris’s piece into the trashcan.
“I don’t want you to get sick,” she smiled as she kissed the top of his head and handed him another piece. Her youngest son’s eyes lit up, and this time, the dough made it to the sheet.
